Creating Your First Quote

Learn how to create a quote for a customer in Shop Director.

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

• Customer information (name, phone, email)
• Vehicle details (year, make, model)
• Products or services to quote

Step-by-Step

1. Start a New Quote

Click Quotes in the sidebar, then click the New Quote button.

2. Add Customer Information

• Search for an existing customer, or
• Click New Customer to add someone new

3. Add Vehicle

Enter the vehicle details:

• Year, Make, Model
• VIN (optional)
• Color (optional)

4. Add Line Items

Add products and services:

• Search your product catalog
• Enter custom items if needed
• Adjust quantities and pricing

5. Review and Send

Preview the quote, then either:

• Save as Draft - Continue editing later
• Send to Customer - Email the quote for approval

What's Next?

Once the customer approves, you can convert the quote to an order and schedule the installation.
